International Workshop 2005

From October 4 to 8 2005 the „I. International Workshop on Evolutionary Economics for PhD students and Post-Docs“ will take place at Buchenbach (Haus Wiesneck). It is the seventh workshop for young Evolutionary Economists in Buchenbach after the foundation of the workshop series in 1993 by Prof. Ulrich Witt (Director of Evolutionary Economics Group at the Max-Planck-Institute in Jena), formerly Professor at the University of Freiburg/Breisgau. The „I. International Workshop on Evolutionary Economics for PhD students and Post-Docs“ is financed by the Fritz Thyssen Stiftung which also had financially supported the „VI. Buchenbach-Workshop“ (in German) from May 14 to 17 2003. From the V. Buchenbach-Workshop“ in 2001 on which had been financially supported by the „Stiftung Volkswagen“ Prof. Marco Lehmann-Waffenschmidt (Technical University of Dresden) has become the local and scientific organizer in cooperation with Ulrich Witt. Like the “Buchenbach Workshops” before the format of the „I. International Workshop on Evolutionary Economics for PhD students and Post-Docs“ will be a mixture of a workshop with selected contributed papers by the participants and a summer school by a number of Keynote Lectures by internationally renowned evolutionary economists (R. Day (USA), A. Field (USA), P. Llerena (F), S. Metcalfe (GB), P. Murmann (USA), H. Siegenthaler (CH), Sidney Winter (USA), Ulrich Witt (D)).
